Yvonne Calhoun

 Yvonne Calhoun of Bryant, Arkansas was born September 3, 1927, in Jamestown, North Dakota to Orville and Agnes (Gilbertson) Brumm. Yvonne passed away March 8, 2025, in Bryant at the age of 97.

Yvonne and Malcolm raised five daughters. Yvonne was active in their daughter’s activities, such as scouts and school. She was active in the community organizations, teaching swimming and lifesaving, and 7 years as July 4th parade chairman in Webster Groves, MO. She loved music and sang with the Holiday Island Singers, Sweet Adelines and church choirs wherever she and Malcolm were residing. She was an artist, creating many works of art in different mediums. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and her motto was “Anything for a party”.

Yvonne is survived by her daughters Corine Egendoerfer (Bob), Jeanne Huffman (Tim), Sarah Calhoun (Jeff Muehlberg), and Melissa Marschel (Lee). She also survived by 9 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Orville and Agnes Brumm, husband Malcolm Calhoun, daughter Elizabeth White, and granddaughter Laura Jean Sitzes.

Visitation will be 10:00am till 11:00am, Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Nelson’s Chapel of the Springs, Eureka Springs, AR. Graveside service will be 11:30am, Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Eureka Springs Cemetery. Following the graveside service, there will be a memorial service at Holiday Island Presbyterian Church.
