Don V. Holley, age 82, of Holiday Island, Arkansas, passed away at Eureka Springs
Hospital on Monday, January 18, 2021. Don was son of Travis and Pearl
(Howerton) Holley, and was born on January 14, 1939, in Hico, Texas. Mr. Holley
was united in marriage to Nita Nunn on January 26, 1963. Don graduated from
Texas A&M College. Mr. Holley worked for the federal government as a soil
conservation engineer for several years before he retired. Don enjoyed going to
the library and reading. He also was a volunteer at the Holiday Island Fire
Department. Mr. Holley attended and was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nita Holley, of Holiday Island; one son, Jim Holley and
his wife Laura, of Little Rock, Arkansas; two grandkids, Kevin and Lexie; one
brother, Elson Holley, of Cold Springs, Texas; two sisters, Theresa Donaldson, of
Stephenville, Texas, and Valetta Dunlap, of Lubbock, Texas; and several nieces
and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents

Services will be held at the Holiday Island Community Church on July 17, 2021
