STELLA R. BUCKNAM, of Holiday Island, Arkansas was born December 22, 1934, in Rapid
City, North Dakota to W. Ray and Eloise (Russ) Sanders. She passed away peacefully at home
on November 29, 2018 at 83 years of age.

Stella was dedicated to the Holiday Island Presbyterian Church and served as treasurer for 10
years. She was an active member of the Abendschone Chapter of the National Society and
Daughters of the American Revolution in Eureka Springs, Arkansas where she served as
treasurer for 8 years. Stella was dearly beloved by the community and her family.
In 1956, she was united in marriage with David Horton Bucknam who survives her of the home.
She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Wells and Berta Barker; niece, Lucille Lund; nephew,
Dean Wells; and grandniece, Patricia Reed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W. Ray and Eloise Sanders; and sister, Georgia
Sanders.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Holiday
